Relevance of Policy Commission
Context The government had constituted the Policy Commission to bring new ideas. Its first objective is to act as a think tank through which new and innovative ideas are obtained from all possible sources like industry, academic, civil society or foreign experts and the government system remains open for the implementation of these ideas. Various initiatives such as Ayushman India, our approach towards artificial intelligence and water conservation measures and draft bill for the establishment of National Medical Commission to replace the Medical Council of India etc. have been conceptualized by the Commission and forwarded by the concerned Ministries. being taken.
